Field Day Operations

Members of the Geelong Amateur Radio Club participate in a number of radio events through out the year. These include field operations at museums, light houses, hill tops and pretty much anywhere a radio and antenna can be installed. These events are normally run over a weekend and give many amateur radio operators the chance to get on air and make contact with other  operators around the country and the world.

When to find us on air?

• The GARC fields at least two teams for every VHF/UHF Field day - Held in January, June & November.

• Maritime Weekend - Last weekend in March. On this weekend we operate from the Marconi Hut at the Queenscliff Maritime Museum.

• International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend - Third weekend in August.
